Boker Tov

A Different Concept

Dear friends, colleagues, musicians!

I want to show you a new way for a wind orchestra to exist. This is the central idea of this site.

The Boker Tov Orchestra is a real embodiment of this idea.

I believe a wind orchestra does not always need a concert hall. Sometimes the orchestra itself should go where the people are: to hospitals, schools, parks, squares and streets, public events, fairs and celebrations.

All the more so because a wind orchestra's performance needs no electricity, no chairs, no stage and no other special conditions. My arrangements are created with exactly this idea in mind. And it works.
I write more about this in the blog post “Any Orchestra Can…”.

I have changed my approach to arranging for a wind orchestra. A saxophone quartet or quintet becomes an integral part of the whole orchestra, not just an extra section of instruments. This lets the orchestra keep a full, rounded sound even with an incomplete lineup.
More about this idea in the blog post “Two in One”.

Perhaps it is this very concept that will let your ensemble take a new step in its development.

Tell yourself: why NOT?

Download the arrangements, rehearse, play — and join our concept.

And who knows… perhaps very soon we will meet at some shared event and play together.
